昭和２４(１９４９)年、商号まるは大洋球団、球団名大洋ホエールズとして創設。フランチャイズは下関。
昭和２５(１９５０)年、商号を大洋球団に改称。
昭和２８(１９５３)年、松竹ロビンスと合併。商号大洋松竹球団、球団名大洋松竹ロビンスとなる。
昭和２９(１９５４)年、球団名を洋松ロビンスに改名。
昭和３０(１９５５)年、松竹映画が手をひき、再び大洋球団、大洋ホエールズとなる。フランチャイズを川崎に移転。
昭和５３(１９７８)年、フランチャイズを横浜に移転。球団名を横浜大洋ホエールズと改称。
平成５(１９９３)年、社名と球団名を横浜ベイスターズと改称。


Established in 1949 as Taiyo Whales. The traiding name was Maruha Taiyo Baseball Club.
In 1950, the trading name was changed to Taiyo Baseball Club.
In 1953, Because of the merger with Shyochiku Robins,the trading name was changed to Taiyo Shyochiku Baseball  Club. According to this.the team name was changed to Taiyo Shyochiku Robins.
In 1954,the team name was changed to Yosyo Robins.(Yoshyo is the combination name of Taiyo and Shyochiku).
in 1955,Shyochiku Co.Ltd, Washed their hands of business, the team name got back to original,Taiyo Whales. At the time.the home was Kawasaki city.
In 1978,the home was moved to Yokohama city.According to this,the team name became Yokohama Taiyo Whales.
In 1993.The official name and the team name was changed to Yokohama Bay Stars.

松竹ロビンスの歴史
The history of Shyochiku Robins
昭和１１年(１９３６)年、商号大日本野球連盟・東京協会として創設。通称は大東京。
昭和１２(１９３７)年、球団名をライオンと改称。
昭和１６(１９４１)年、球団名を朝日軍と改称。
昭和２１(１９４６)年、球団名を太平パシフィックと改称。
昭和２２(１９４７)年、球団名を太陽ロビンスと改称。
昭和２３(１９４８)年、球団名を大陽ロビンスと改称。
昭和２４(１９４９)年、球団名を松竹ロビンスと改称。
昭和２８(１９５３)年、大洋ホエールズと合併。


Established as the trading name of the Great Nippon Baseball Union, Tokyo Association.The common name was Dai-Tokyo(Great Tokyo). It was 1936,
The team name was changed to Lion in 1937.
IT was changed to Asahigun in 1941.(Because, during the WW2.Using English was prohabited in Japan.)
In 1946, it was changed to  Taihei  Pacific.
In 1947, it was changed toTaiyo Robins .
In 1949, the new name was Shyochiku Robins
In 1953, Merger  with  Taiyo Whales.
1936 桜とポールがアレンジされた大東京の球団旗。
Cherry blossom and a ball were designed.
1937-1940 ライオン時代の球団旗。西洋の紋章を思わせる。
It had the Lion design.it seemed like a western crest.
1941-1944 戦時中の朝日軍時代。漢字の「朝」の球団旗。
During the WW2,it had only chinese letter 朝（asa means "morning")
1947-1948 ロビンスの球団カラーは赤だった。.
At this time ,the team color was red. Also it had Robins letters.
1949 Robinsの文字がブルーになる。
The Robins letters were changed to blue color.
1950-1951 映画会社の松竹と提携。松竹の会社マークが入る。
The trade mark of Shyochiku was added on.
1951-1953 1951年の７月(オールスター戦終了後)から球団旗がモデルチェンジ。
The club flag changed from July 1951.
1950-1953 大洋ホエールズ創設。球団旗は大洋漁業の丸はマークをそのまま使用。
Establishment of Taiyo Whales.The parent company  was Taiyo  fishly  Co., Ltd..So,　it had the trade mark (MARUHA).
1954 大洋ホエールズと松竹ロビンスが合併。球団旗も親会社マークが合体。
The frag design was the combination of MARUHA　trademark and Shyochiku  trademark.
1955-1963 松竹が撤退。球団旗は大洋漁業の丸はマークと大洋の文字に。
According to the withdrawal of Shyochiku ,their trade mark has gone,Taiyo in chinese letters ware used.
1964-1977 漢字をアルファベットに変更。
The chinese letters were changed to alphabets.
1964-1966 初期にはKAWASAKIバージョンも存在した。
For the early period,　they　ｈａｄ　ａｎｏｔｈｅｒ　ｏｎｅ　ｗｉｔｈ　ｋａｗａｓａｋｉ　ｌｅｔｔｅｒｓ．
1978-1992 横浜に移転。横浜大洋ホエールズとなり、球団旗も変更。
Home has been moved to Yokohama, the flag was changed also.
1993- 球団名を横浜ベイスターズに変更。球団旗もモデルチェンジ。
With the changing name to BAY STARS,the flag was totally changed.
1993- こちらはビジター用球団旗。
There is another one for visitor using ,also.
2000- 二軍が湘南シーレックスとして独立。球団旗も誕生。
